This project was a collaborative design. The Chicago area firm of Marshall Architects created a basic workable design that was handed to me for interior and interior and exterior detailing and modifications. The house sits on a glorious mountaintop site in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Many of the trim woods and veneer stone for the house are from the surrounding landscape allowing the house to "grow from its site".
